Ground turkey (dark meat), salt, pepper, one egg, and a dab of strawberry jelly. The fruit cuts the gamey turkey flavor.

Dice a bunch of root vegetables (this is parsnip, carrot, sweet potato, and onion). Heat olive oil in a pan. Add root vegetables, salt, and pepper. Saute until soft, adding a bit of water to the pan if they start to burn. Let cool. Coarsly puree in a food processor. Mix an equal volume with two pounds of ground turkey, two eggs, salt, pepper, and about a half cup of breadcrumbs. Put in a loaf pan, layer with bacon slices. Cook at 350F until just about done (probably about an hour), then turn heat up to 450F for the last 10 minutes to crisp the bacon. Serve with ketchup.
